Were they happy to see the final result?

It looks really cool, and there's a lot about the design that works well to fill in the space and give a chill mood. Despite the few number of colors, the piece feels colorful and full. The definition on his hands and the middle of his face are nice, and contrast with the block coloring of the rest of his body and his glasses.

AlesBrewery responds:

The response I got to this piece really astounded me! They’ve put it up on a test version of the website, and it looks great. Thank you very much for the feedback

The animation is so choppy and adorable.

I've never seen the shark head placed like that on the body, pretty cool and makes him very bulky. I wonder how he swims. Also like the haziness of the whole piece. It's either the colors, or you put some layer effect on top.

It does really remind me of a sunrise or sunset. There's this misty effect to it all, and it grows dark and ominous to the left, as if the sun can't reach that place. There's also this layer-y effect, probably from the glitchyness of making the piece. It's a really cool effect.

How do you capture such subtle movements with the pixels? The whole piece feels alive.

aleha84 responds:

thats the point. Make artwork looks alive.

I personally think the wind effect is pretty cool; it looks both smooth and chaotic with how it wraps around the blade.

The acrylic makes the sword really pop from the background. Also, the patient effort of the hatching almost colors the blade with a grey.

Amazing :D .

ExtinctionArts responds:

Thank you friend :)

I like the presentation as well as the artwork. Those paper stars, I made them all the time. Amazing work!

Melisaura responds:

yes! i made them myself too :P thanks!

Spindra has a cool design, and I like the colors you chose for her. There's also that ominous glow emanating from her, giving a sense of power. The proportion are also pretty good.

There are a couple perspective things you could improve on, such as the head shape and the tail. Also unsure about where her lower jaw is.

Nice work as usual :) .

EDIT: I can see the cute/creepy look

Slimera responds:

Thanks, yeah I know the head shape is not right lol Im trying to get out of the massive head thing also that missing jaw isnt missing at all its right there her mouth is sowed shut because her jaw is rotten and falling off hence the whole undead chimera part. Yeah My perspective needs quite a bit of work lol.

Edit: that aura around her is actually her sketch lines I kept them in because I thought it looked great (plus it was how I got the rotten flesh look for her lower jaw)

Plus I think I nailed the creepy cute vibe I was going for what do you think?

Wow. That's an interesting process, and the final result has really cool gradients. The curvature and the way you drew the alligator is flowing and adds a liveliness to the design.

There are some strange things happening with the alligator legs and tail. Also, the thumb on the left hand goes inward, while the thumb on the right hand goes outwards. Not sure if that's impactful to the overall design though.

ExtinctionArts responds:

Thanks. You're right. it's right hand thumb does go outward and I overlooked that lol. That should be okay though since old flash art from the 40's and 50's were made quickly without much thought. But you are right haha I wish I saw that earlier.

Was not expecting that XD.
