The muted colors and emptiness makes me feel like I'm trying to search for something, just as the person in the image is looking at their reflection. Also wonder what caught their surprise in the window to drop their bags.

I can definitely see how the cliffs and pages point towards the center. Simple but effective :)

The multi-directional hatching on the sword also stands out to me since it looks cool and makes the sword different than the texture of the other objects.

I like the textures with the simple lineart. What material did you use to get that texture?

i did a rough drawing on paper, coated the back of it with compressed black charcoal and red chalk, then traced the drawing onto a new page!
