How did you do the pose so well :o ? It has that feeling of the orge getting ready for a strike.

The pastel blues and reds really give a moody feel to the artwork. The rendered light on her face is simple but effective. Her proportions are good as well :)

Your rendering is very soft, especially the blending of the dark to mid-light near the center of the piece. The shadow of the flower is especially nice!

I am also taking art classes, and we've been studying still lives. It's sorta relaxing -u- .

Your contrast is really good, and you make light sources pop out very well. I can see your point about your strengths/weaknesses.

The boat image reminds me of something you had done, where there was a giant sea monster about to eat the fisherman along with the boat. Am I imagining things?

Yeah they are kinda similar.

Really like the blur effect making the train look like it speeding really fast. I also like the blue/orange-red color scheme, with the bottom orange transitioning to a night sky blue.

Maybe you could of kept the areas near the train very blurry, but as you move away you decrease the effect of the blur. If you move fast, closer objects blur more than far away objects.

It looks like the cover of an album, and I like how minimal the colors are.
