What kind of brush do you use, or do you use multiple kinds? Because the solid unblending strokes are really cool :D

Thank you, and I use several types of rake brushes to get those sort of strokes. It's a brush that is in Kyle T. Webster's brush pack!
Is there supposed to be hair between her neck and the hair that is hanging down? Hair that's behind the hair that's hanging and over her left shoulder?
Yeah
Question: Do you like to bend smoothly, or do you use different blocks of color to show shadows/bright spots?
The style reminds me of comics, and I like how solid all the colors are.
Where do you get these ideas? They make me hungry X/
i gotta do a portfolio and i decided to do comfort foods i love! im glad they look appetizing haha
Question: Did you use a stock photo for the clouds in the background?
Liking how the character is a different style with the lines than the surrounding scenery :)
I appreciate the comment on the character style. Thank you. In relation to the background, the clouds were the only stock elements. I used a bit of photo editing with several clouds images/brushes so it didn't look too much like a stock photo.
Not to be a smart aleck, but is she named "Magenta" because she has magenta hair?
I'm really liking both the texture/detail of her hair (and that rose!), as well as the general softer colors of the piece. The shadows of the hair is jarring next to the darker shadows of her clothes. The hair seems to have a very sharp shape. Also, the chain could be changing shape while it follows(?) towards her chest and back.
The hair seems to be what she's named after at a quick glance, but there's actually more to it than that. I'm planning on revealing more about her in the future and why she's named that :D
I tried to make her hair more natural even though her original design had sharp hair shapes on both sides on her head (since I created her during my anime phase haha). The chain wraps over her shoulder and the other chain on top wraps around her neck, I hope that clarifies that but I think parts of the drawing could also be improved ^^
I apologize for that long block of text, but I do appreciate the feedback :D <3
W-w-why... thank you.
That aside, I like the way you do your lines, especially how it's consistent with your other drawings.
Thanks I appreciate it
Like how you used unsaturated colors. It would be better if the background wasn't so white, as it doesn't match the colors you used. Also, the anatomy of the head is a little weird, such as the eyes being above the ears. It's an alright drawing :)
Perhaps the white outline behind the cat could be a little darker or more transparent.
Pretty nice cat. He needs a rest however.
Question: is the perspective of the ear a little off?
